As well as bookbinding, etching and the recently discovered, "Making Picture Frames in Wood", the Original Inspiration for Manly Banister writes (wrote) sci-fi.
I kid you not.
He also wrote for Weird Tales along with (hiss! spit!) August Derleth. I am quite disturbed to find he lives in Kansas. I am trying to work out how he can both be 36 and have had stories published in the 1940s. Something suspicious is going on here. Manly Banister: Gentleman Timetraveller?
Also, I am starting to think that this is a viable use of five dollars. I have found real copies of Conquest of Earth for purchase, which I think is the abridged version, but how could I resist the lure of Extra Descriptive Passages and tension?
